Help bring attention to It takes a system to save a life, and that more could survive if laypersons are an important and integrated part of the EMS system.
EMS2018 delegates are invited to the official It takes a system to save a life Parade. After the last keynote session Monday we will all gather in front of the Tivoli Congress Center and together with ambulances, we will march through the streets of Copenhagen. The parade is to show our support for the EMS system and raise awareness of bystander CPR.
Midway through the walk we will be joined by a huge number of TrygFonden heart runners. Heart runners are laypersons who volunteer to provide CPR or bring out AEDs when out-of-hospital-cardiac-arrest (OHCA) occurs. Heart runners download the app ”TrygFonden Heart runner” and an alarm will sound from their smartphones when there is an OHCA nearby.
Together we will walk to the beautiful Tivoli Gardens, where there will be speeches and a social networking.
The Parade function as this year’s welcome reception and is open to all EMS2018 delegates, all you must do is sign up through the registration system. If you have already signed up for the Welcome Event you have signed up for the parade.
