Fancy a morning run or a dip in the Copenhagen Harbor Bath?

16 October 2015

Join our early Copenhagen morning run

Experience Copenhagen slowly waking up while you get moving before a long day at the conference center.

The 5 km route (3,2 miles) takes us through the old part of the city and down the pedestrian street, which is one of the oldest in the world. We will run by some of the most beautiful historical buildings, castles and churches in Copenhagen and through cosy parks. We will take a look at the Danish Parliament building, the royal residence Amalienborg, the Opera House, and Nyhavn (New Harbour), the latter being the most popular place for tourists to enjoy the sun and a traditional Danish lunch.

If we are a lot of runners, we will divide into groups by speed – if we are fewer runners, we will run with a speed of approximately 5:30-6:30 minutes per km (7:45-8:15 minutes per mile).

Take a morning swim in the Copenhagen Harbor Bath

In Copenhagen, we are fortunate that the water in the harbor is so clean that you can swim in it. Every summer we have three harbor baths where you can take a cool dip. Join us and get a nice refreshing start of the day when we invite all delegates to a morning swim. The harbor bath is supervised by lifeguards from TrygFonden.

The harbor bath at Fisketorvet is approximately 300 meters from the Congress venue.

The morning run will take place on the second day of the congress while the morning swim will take place on the third and last day. Registration is possible through the same system as used to register for the congress. You can register at the same time as you register for the congress or you can do it later. For all you guys that has already registered for the congress, you can just look in to the system at any time if you wish to sign up for running or/and swimming.

The morning run and swim is proudly arranged by our co-host TrygFonden_RGB2
