We are proud to announce that the European Trauma Course will be one of the precourses at the EMS2016 Copenhagen.
The ETC is an innovative 2.5 days Trauma Course with 2 lectures and 30 hands on scenarios in an emergency room environment. It is taught in small groups of 4 persons with an Instructor: Candidate ratio of 1:2. The course is intense and its main focus is on team work and non-technical skills. Every scenario is evolving around the main pillar: communication and from there addressing the aspects of teamwork, task management, decision making and situational awareness. Emphasis is on the learning conversation and on feedback which is formally integrated in all teaching scenarios.
The course will be conducted in English with a faculty of experienced Emergency Physicians, Anaesthesiologists and Surgeons from all over Europe. It takes place at the Danish Institute for Medical Simulation, Herlev Hospital, Copenhagen and are open for all doctors and nurses with an interest in trauma care and team management. ETC in Denmark is managed via Danish Resuscitation Council and supported by TrygFonden.
The European Trauma Course is a joint programme of the ERC, ESTES, EuSEM and the ESA and it is certified by all partner societies.
