We are proud to present to you a preliminary program for the European EMS2016 in Copenhagen.
The EMS2016 Scientific Committee has created the program with the ambition that it will inspire, encourage and provide participants with new and updated knowledge, which can be implemented in their daily practice. The topics are therefore multiple and highly relevant for everybody who works within emergency medical services and emergency care – from medical dispatch to pre-hospital care and referral to the Emergency Department treatment.
Something for everyone
At EMS2016 in Copenhagen the sessions will focus on research and clinical practice, for instance critical cardiac diseases or how to identify the critically ill child. The program will also place strong emphasis on our shared challenges in emergency care with sessions focusing on topics such as critical decision making, quality and patient safety and best practice. Furthermore, a main attraction will be the EMS championship where EMS-teams will compete for the EMS Championship award 2016.

We are very proud to announce that Douglas Chamberlain will be keynote speaker at the EMS2016 opening ceremony. Douglas Chamberlain is well known for his strong impact and contribution to the EMS-world. On our website you can find a list of the currently confirmed speakers. The list is constantly growing and common to all are, that the speakers at EMS2016 in Copenhagen are leading profiles in their area of expertise.
Do you miss anything in the program?
EMS2016 in Copenhagen aims to contribute to the international exchange of experience and development of new standards for emergency medical services and pre-hospital care. To do this, we need you to get involved! Is there a particular topic where you need to get inspired or a specific excellent speaker that the EMS2016 should have missed? Or maybe there there are a major challenge facing you in your daily work that needs to be squeezed into the program?
