What to expect?
The door slams behind you and your team … Confused and perhaps a bit scared you look around the darkened room watching a scene that indicates something is terribly wrong… Suddenly, a news release launches the news of a virus release that makes everyone into zombies, and describes how the cure is locked inside the room. It is now your job to get this cure out using all your skills as a schooled health professional, will you make it in time?…..
Inspired by the popular ’Escape Room’ concept
The EMS2018 Medical Mystery Room is inspired by the very popular escape room concept: A physical adventure game in which you have to solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms.

Arranged by SATS
The EMS2018 Medical Mystery Room is arranged by the student organisation SATS. The Room is meant to be a fun challenge for you and your teammates, but it is also a hope that in the future the concept can serve as a simulation modality for training applied knowledge and non-technical skills. SATS will therefore ask all participants to answer a few short questions after they have ‘broken out of the room’ as well as give their consent to the answers being used in future research. Ultimately research from the Medical Mystery Room may be published in a scientific magazine but no footage or name will appear in any form and the study is off course anonymous.
